Chinquapin 128
Welcome to Unit 128
Chinquapin 128 is a truly exceptional home. In fact, it’s one of the finest family homes available for rental anywhere on the Lake. Furnished in “Mountain Home Elegance” style, it incorporates some tasteful antiques and photographic art pieces throughout and many special touches…from the entryway’s finest hand-scraped walnut plank floors, to the original Old Town canoe hanging overhead in the beamed ceiling of the living room. The Old Tahoe style you’ll love with all the modern conveniences you’re used to!
This is a large lakefront “end” unit (not stuck between other units) with perhaps the best floor plan Chinquapin has to offer and delivers stunning panoramas of Tahoe from both its levels. It’s the only rental unit in Chinquapin that has air conditioning for the hotter summer afternoons. You’ll find all the conveniences, including new beds and bedding in each bedroom for a cozy night’s rest, a kitchen that’s been completely remodeled to the highest standards using beautiful mirror-matched cherry woods throughout, a home theatre sound system and 65” Smart TV in the electric lift cabinet upstairs, and a TV/DVD in the Master bedroom as well. High Speed Wi-Fi throughout, of course.
The dining room is the “heart” of the house for any family or group, with plenty of seating for all on two beautiful antique pine benches on either side of an 8-foot rustic dining table and wrought iron candelabra overhead.
The upstairs bedroom off the dining area has a queen size bed and is decorated in classic Adirondack “camp” style. In the suite is a private full-size bathroom making this a second master.
Downstairs are two more bedrooms, another full size bath and the master bedroom with its own bath, sauna and lakefront glassed-in deck. The laundry is also on this level.

Noise: Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please consider moving indoors after 10 p.m. If you choose to be outside, please be considerate of the neighbors.
Parking: Park only in the designated parking areas provided for your rental unit.
Occupancy: Placer County code limits overnight occupancy of short-term rentals to two adults per bedroom, plus an additional two adults, excluding children under 16. Occupancy limits are enforced after 10 pm. Check with our office about any questions related to the occupancy limits of your rental.
Pets: The Chinquapin Homeowner’s Association does not allow guests to bring pets on property.
Waste and Recycling: Don’t be a litter bug! Please put your trash in the proper containers. Trash accumulation outside of containers attracts wildlife and is strictly prohibited.
Bears: Be bear aware! Bears have a sense of smell up to seven times as strong as a dog’s and are lazy meal finders. It’s not uncommon in the mountains for a bear to break into a car or a home where food has been left out. Don’t leave food in an unattended car and use bear-box trash receptacles wherever they’re available.
Fire Restrictions: Fire danger is high in our forests and mountains. Outdoor wood burning - including open wood burn pits, bonfires, or campfires - is prohibited at any vacation rental. Charcoal grills are also prohibited. Propane grills and natural gas/propane burning fireplaces and fire pits (with 20-pound tanks or smaller) are allowed but must be at least 10 feet from flammable structures and materials.
Emergency Alerts and Evacuations: During emergencies, stay tuned to local media and be on alert for evacuation instructions from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Placer County may also issue critical safety information using the Placer Alert notification system. To sign up to receive notifications by text, phone or email during your stay, please visit PlacerAlert.org.
